Fumitaka NODA Fumitaka Noda, MD, Ph.D Professor of Psychiatry Graduate School of Social Work, Taisho University Tokyo, Japan Email: Fumitaka Noda, MD Ph.D, graduated from Chiba University School of Medicine and received post-graduate training in the Department of Psychiatry, University of British Columbia, Canada. He currently serves as a Professor of Psychiatry at Taisho University in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Noda an immediate past President of the Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists (PRCP) and Co-chair of World Psychiatric Association, Transcultural Psychiatry Section (WPATPS). He is also a founder and current President of Japanese Society of Transcultural Psychiatry (JSTP). As a congress chair, he organized WPATPS-JSTP joint meeting in 2007 and 13th PRCP meeting in 2008 in Japan. Dr. Noda’s main clinical and research interests include transcultural psychiatry and psychiatric rehabilitation. He has written several books in Japanese as well as in English on those topics. Dr. Noda also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, University of British Columbia in Canada. Dr. Noda furthers his expertise in transcultural psychiatry through his involvement in a cross-cultural psychiatry clinic in Vancouver, which he visits multiple times during the year.
